A magnificent 17th Century Château in close proximity to Pau. This historic Château has been renovated to the highest standard with careful consideration to retaining the original features of the property.
The Grand Salon is a magnificent, spacious room with original terracotta tiles and exposed oak beams. This space is fabulously bright with three sets of original windows plus double doors that enter to the garden facing east. This room is accessed from the entrance hall through double doors and has double door access to the dining room at the far end of the Salon. A superb enclosed fireplace ensures maximum heat with no draft. Throughout the main château there is underfloor heating.
A wonderful country kitchen in a delicious cooking apple green with built in Guggenau appliances and space for a large Amercian double door fridge freezer. At the far end of the kitchen is the original fireplace with fire inset. Adjoining the kitchen is a winter room that can be fully opened during the summer to maximise indoor/outdoor living.
The grounds include a stone barn that currently serves as a garage/workshop and pool house with a summer terrace for barbecuing. This stone structure could also serve as a guest cottage if renovated. Surface area of the ground floor of the barn is 43m2 with 36m2 on the first floor.
There is stabling for 3 horses including a storage space for hay and another room for storage of gardening materials.
The grounds of the Château Florence cover 20 Hectares which currently comprises a formal garden, paddocks and open land both on the
flat and sloping. In the grounds there is a pond close to the entrance of the property and a lake.
